About Julie

usJulie Whaley is a wife, a mother of three girls, an artist, a creator, a crafter, a runner, a servant, a woman who loves Jesus. She was recently diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer. In 2010, she successfully fought Stage III breast cancer. Days from celebrating her 4 year survivor anniversary, she received the news that her cancer was back.

There is so much involved with this diagnosis, and it touches far more of us than seems reasonable. Join us as we love and support Julie and her family.

  7. HI Julie, you probably don’t remember us, but we all were at Quail Valley Church together when you were little. We had the pleasure of working together with Donna & Tim in Children’s Church. Such fun and so many wonderful memories of your family. I just heard of your diagnosis from Janie Holsapple and wanted you to know that our family will be standing with your family praying for your complete healing. Our family has fought the battle three times, Al had rectal & bladder cancer and our son, Ryan, had lymphoma in high school and we certainly know the struggle & emotions that go with it. Through the battles, I certainly learned how to pray and I will be praying hard for you, too. May the eyes of your understanding be opened, and may you come into the full hope of the calling of the Lord. I bless you with good days and a long life. May the favor of the Lord be upon you to live in the fullness of His grace! Praying for you, vicki

  8. I would like to know if there are a vaccine for lung cancer. I read your story and it said that you initially had breast cancer, but then you had a bout with fluid filling up in your lungs. What do the doctors say about the fluid? I will be praying for a happy and healthy outcome for you and your family.

My family is going through a hard time right now. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4 in December and is currently taking chemo treatments each month.

  9. Julie, you and your precious family are in my prayers!! Please know so many are lifting you up and supporting your courageous fight! You continuously show amazing faith and perseverance through this storm. Prayers for strength, peace, and healing!!!!

  10. Julie,
I want you to know that I am constantly thinking of you and praying for you. I know all about Xeloda…my dad chose not to use it after going through chemo for so long. I have read about all of the possible side effects. I pray for God to give you strength. My heart is full of hope for you, your girls and your hubby. Praying, praying, and praying some more for you! Much love to all of you, Julie Benson

  12. Dear dear Julie
Daughter of The King. Thank you for reminding all of us of the gift of today. I pray that more and more you will realize the oneness with Him. I pray for your continued peace and healing. I pray for you a majestic walk with our Lord as you continue to hold onto Him. Dear Holy Jesus please wrap Julie in the folds of your garment and pull her close.

  13. Ethan & family, I had only recently met Julie while I was visiting a family member at St. Daniel’s in Round Rock. She was walking laps. We immediately struck up a conversation and prayed immediately. The last time I heard from Julie was on yalls return trip from the coast (I believe). I sent a message to her on July 4th but did not hear from her. I am so sorry. She no longer suffers, and I know is in heaven with so many loved ones to welcome her home. Julie was truly a beautiful person inside and out. She made an everlasting impression. May she rest in peace. In our Father’s trust and love, Shae Williams
